Location: St Mary’s & St Peter’s Church, Bagillt, Wales
Type of Project: Building Inspection
Date Completed: 2019
The parish of St Mary’s have been worshiping from this location in Bagillt, North Wales since 1839. St Peter’s church, located in the boot end started as a mission church of St Mary’s in 1883. This became known as the Welsh Church.
Sadly, St Peter’s church closed in 2012 and both congregations were combined to form the church of St Mary and St Peter.
We were tasked with carrying out a roof inspection at the church to check the general condition as this has not been monitored for some time. This would help identify any areas that may cause a problem, now that we are beginning to enter the winter season. By flying close to the church, we were also able to inspect some of the high level brickwork of the structure.
If we can identify potential problems before they occur, the church can stay open over the winter months and not incur any costly bills if emergencies are to arise.
Our drone was able to fly close to the structure and captured some detailed images to help the church view the condition of their property.
